We booked a short break in June and reserved a villa via Airbnb. Its the first time we have used them for a European booking. Unfortunately we had to cancel our booking due to the restrictions on travel, assuming we would experience issues getting a refund. I have been so impressed at how easy it was to cancel and the speed in getting my refund. Out of all the companies I've had to deal with over the last few months to get refunds, Airbnb have certainly exceeded my expectations.

They changed the rental/accomodation market for better. Have used them for years, both as host and guest and never had any issues that weren't resolved. You can find fantastic accomodation with hotel facilities at a greatly discounted price.I never got to use my referral code (earned funds) though which was a shame.

Love travelling and Airbnb tend to be part of my trips. Most of the times had a very positive experience and will keep relying on them for future holidays.

I've always been happy with the AirBnB service. I'm writing this review as i noticed a lot of negatives but I think their customer service is great and quick to answer questions. And at the end if the day they've transformed the holiday industry by offering an easy way to book holiday homes that were not previously available. I'm in one right now and I couldnt be happier with it.

I only use Airbnb for one or two nights stays because I don’t trust them money-wise with anything over the cost of two nights.I’d rather book through booking.com for peace of mind that accommodation-providers can be held accountable for standards and refunds can be given where appropriate. The Airbnb search function on their website is lacking in that when looking for accommodation with a pool, there’s no way to specify indoor or outdoor, or if it’s communal unless you read through the individual listings which is time-consuming. Obviously in autumn and winter, we want an indoor pool. It’s also annoying not being able to filter out caravans in holiday parks that advertise themselves as ‘chalets’ and come up as having a pool when the chances are that there are restrictions on communal pool use due to Covid-19. As the listing doesn’t state which holiday park the ‘chalet’ is in, you’ve no way of knowing which facilities are restricted. Some properties are listed as having a pool when the actual description states it is a small lake for boating or swimming. The service or cleaning fee is ridiculous. This should just be included in the price rather than an extra £30-£50 added on. Easier to just book somewhere through booking.com

USED MANY TIMES , QUALITY OF ACCOMODATION VARIES BUT OVER ALL A DECENT SERVICE

Not bad, used it the first time and everything went perfectly no problems, but the second time I tried to make a booking a place said it was available so I booked it and once I got there, there was someone else staying there, which forced me to go get a hotel instead.

Expectations versus reality! Do not trust photos you see on Airbnb. But I still want to put 3 stars because I enjoyed my vacation but I'm not impressed with the villa that I booked.

Made things easier in these difficult times. Booked accommodation in the USA for Easter, unfortunately this wasn't possible as travel to the USA was stopped. Airbnb were one of the quickest to sort things out for us and quickly had a refund. Still getting nowhere with other travel companies months later.

Pretty happy with Airbnb’s Covid policy- they have made moving a booking in the middle of a full on crisis for them pretty easy.Good job guys, I hope this storm passes for you soon.

Absolutely brilliant response. My flights to Tenerife have been cancelled and TUI are making me jump through hoops to get my money back.I contacted Airbnb and the very same day I have been issued with a full refund!Well done Airbnb.
